PRESENTATION

   Set up on December 21st, 1992 with a base capital of CFA F 2,000,000, GE, a building and public works company, today has become a business corporation with a capital of CFA F 350,000,000.

    It is led by a Board of Directors compo- sed of three members, including the General Manager of the company who acts as an Administrator and a Manager.

   Located at Km 11 Route de Rufisque (on the outskirts of Dakar), GE is illustra- ted in the following fields :

  • the building and restoration of government premises
  • the digging of wells
  • the building of defensive mines
  • the making of drilling superstructu-
    res (water towers, ground tanks, pumping cabins, fire hydrants, drinking troughs, water filling stations ...)
  • the achievement of water supply works (PVC and cast-iron....)
  • the making of structures (bridges, paving, nozzles ....)
  • road building and maintenance.

    Furthermore, thanks to an ever growing annual turnover (CFA F 5,185,000,000 in 2002 against 200,000,000 in 1993) GE has been able to develop and diversify its activities.

    Thus, in 1997 , GE Mali was created in Bamako. It is a branch of the company, which has been operating along the same lines as parent company and which has become totally autonomous after two years presence in Mali.

     In the year 2000 the company's good track record allowed to buy Mischler Aluminium, a corporation specializing in aluminium joinery. Today it is known as Mischler Senegal.

    Two years after Mischler, GE set up a shop called Atmosphere, specializing in the sale of furniture.
